Tekelec Installs 3 Systems for Cellular Phone Firms

Tekelec, a Calabasas provider of computer networking products, said it has installed its first three Eagle Signaling Transfer Points switching systems for McCaw Cellular One operations in Seattle and Palm Beach, Fla., and for the North American Cellular Network.

The Eagle is a stand-alone data switching system capable of routing large numbers of calls, including toll-free calls, and verifying calling card numbers.
