Help for Mentally Ill

I’m writing to thank you for “Return to Reality” by Leslie Earnest (Oct. 18).

Having a stepson and nephew whom I help with their mental illnesses, I can say the piece is accurate, caring, realistic, hopeful and a great public service. It will undoubtedly educate many about the victims we see on the street and encourage more of us to help where we can.
