CAMARILLO : Seminars to Assist First-Time Investors

In an effort to help first-time investors make better decisions with their finances, the Camarillo Chamber of Commerce will sponsor three seminars starting next month, officials announced.

The seminars, which are being co-sponsored with Edward D. Jones & Co., will be held Nov. 17, Dec. 1 and Dec. 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

Carole Nordahl, the chamber’s executive director, said the seminars will cover money management, fixed-income investments, growth investments, mutual funds and annuities.

Other topics include retirement planning, life insurance and personal investment planning.

The sessions are free to members of the chamber and are $25 per session for non-members. Non-members may apply part of the fees toward charter memberships. A light meal will be served. For more information on the seminars, call the chamber at 484-4383.
