Anaheim’s Disneyland Hotel and Convention Center will be host to the electric car industry Dec. 3-7, when the International Electric Vehicle Symposium comes to town.

The biennial meeting is the 12th in a series that began in 1969 and alternates among European, Asia-Pacific and North American sites. The registration fee this year is $750 a person.

The next meeting in the United States is scheduled for 2004.

Though much of the symposium will be given over to technical panels on such topics as “Battery Modeling” and the “Technical Potential of Flywheel Storage,” there will be an electric vehicle parade down Disneyland’s Main Street and a public exposition at the hotel’s convention center.

The parade will start at 1 p.m. on Dec. 1 and is open only to people who buy a general admission ticket to Disneyland that day.
