Big 3 Post Strong Sales: Auto sales got off to a fast start in the 1995 model year, Detroit’s car makers said, with demand for trucks driving the best sales performance in seven months. October sales of cars and light-duty trucks rose 8.9% to 1.26 million units. Car sales rose 2.8% to 737,344 vehicles, while truck sales jumped 18.8% to 525,622.
