California Amplifier Gets $15 Million in Orders

California Amplifier Inc. of Camarillo said it has reached separate agreements with three wireless cable television operators to provide an estimated $15 million in products over the next 15 months.

The company makes antennae and converters that enable wireless cable subscribers to receive and convert microwave signals to television pictures and sound. California Amplifier would not name the operators, but said one is a U.S. firm, and the others are based in Latin America.

The deals will significantly boost California Amplifier’s wireless cable product sales. In the fiscal year that ended Feb. 28, the company posted sales of $13.3 million in wireless cable products. Through Aug. 31 this year, the company had $8.6 million in wireless cable product sales.

Chief Financial Officer Mike Ferron said California Amplifier currently supplies products to about 50 wireless cable operators worldwide.
