SIMI VALLEY : Meeting to Discuss Flood-Area Repairs
Hoping to dispel confusion about rebuilding quake-damaged property in flood zones, Simi Valley leaders and federal officials will meet with residents this week to discuss the problem.
The meeting, co-sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the city, will focus on government standards for such projects.
“There has been a great deal of confusion and misinformation over rebuilding requirements in flood-plain areas of the city,” Mayor Greg Stratton said.
“This meeting is open to all residents and is being held to provide accurate information to assist people in the rebuilding process.”
The meeting will be held Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi, next to City Hall.
