Canada Gives Vietnam MFN Trading Status: Canada has agreed to give Vietnam most-favored nation trading status, doubled its textile export quotas and signed over a new chunk of aid. The textile export quota will be increased to two million pieces of clothing a year from next year from 1.1 million under an agreement which expires at the end of 1994. Canada will give Vietnam up to $27 million in development assistance over the next four to five years for projects in economic management, legal and administrative reform and environmental management, officials said.
