Russell Joyner, manager of the Fox Hills Mall and a former professional football player, will receive an award for his work with inner-city youths.

Joyner, who played for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Indianapolis Colts, will receive the Los Angeles Area Council Boy Scouts of America Vincent T. Lombardi Hall of Fame Award at the organization’s fund-raiser dinner December 1.

Named for the late Green Bay Packers coach, the award honors persons whose “winning philosophies have led them to excel in sports and as contributors to community causes.”
