A convicted immigration swindler from Alhambra will be sentenced Dec. 12 for violating probation by resuming illegal business activities upon her release from jail, a prosecutor said Thursday.

Lo-Li V. Gregor, 48, of Alhambra, who targeted holders of Republic of China and Hong Kong passports, was found to be in violation of her parole late Wednesday by Los Angeles Municipal Judge Thomas L. Willhite.

The judge ruled after a hearing at which two of Gregor’s most recent victims testified, said Deputy City Atty. P. Greg Parham.

They told the judge that in October they had paid Gregor $1,000 and $500, respectively, for what turned out to be bogus work permits, the prosecutor said.

Willhite set bail for Gregor at $50,000 and remanded her into custody.

In the previous case, Gregor was sentenced Jan. 28 to a year in jail and ordered to pay $39,985 in restitution to 14 victims. Gregor was released after serving about four months of her sentence and in October became the subject of the INS investigation that led to the latest conviction after she began advertising work permits for sale, Parham said.
