Jim Knapp has joined Nelson Communications Group as a vice president in the Irvine office. Previously, he was chief policy aide to Orange County Supervisor Gaddi H. Vasquez. Before that, Knapp was assignment manager for the Orange County NewsChannel, a cable news service.
