Packard Bell Says ’95 Units Compatible With Windows

Packard Bell Electronics Inc., a Westlake Village personal computer maker, says all of its 1995 units will be compatible with the Microsoft Windows 95 system.
Beny Alagem, Packard Bell’s president and chief executive, said his company and Microsoft Corp. are working closely to ensure that Packard Bell computers take full advantage of Windows 95’s 32-bit performance, intuitive user interface, reliability, long file name support and plug-and-play capabilities.
Packard Bell has announced that it plans to move to the Sacramento area. The company says it is No. 3 in its industry in the shipment of PC-compatible desktop computers and related products.
