Although bankruptcy has forced Orange County to cancel its tree recycling program this year, the loss will be offset because almost all cities in the county are offering similar services. Cities that require residents to drop off their trees include:

* Buena Park, at 7171 Thomas St., through Jan. 26

* Santa Ana, at Alona Park, 1817 W. 21st St., and Memorial Park, 2101 Flower St., on Jan. 7

* Tustin, at Columbus Tustin Park, 14712 Prospect Ave., on Jan. 7 and 8.

Curbside collection is available in:

* Anaheim from now until Jan. 6

* Brea from now until Jan. 6

* Costa Mesa from Monday to Jan. 13

* Dana Point from Monday to Jan. 13

* Fullerton from now until Jan. 13

* Garden Grove from now until Jan. 6

* Huntington Beach from now until Jan. 13

* La Habra dates aren’t set, but collection information will be televised on cable Channel 3

* La Palma from now until Jan. 6

* Laguna Beach already

* Laguna Hills from now until Jan. 13

* Newport Beach already

* Orange from now until Jan. 7

* Placentia from now until Jan. 6

* San Clemente from now until Jan. 13

* San Juan Capistrano from Monday to Jan. 13

* Seal Beach from Jan. 3 to 7

* Stanton from Monday to Jan. 6

* Villa Park from now until Jan. 6

* Westminster from now until Jan. 7

* Yorba Linda from now until Jan. 6

Cities offering both curbside pickup and drop-off sites include:

* Cypress from Jan. 3 to 7, with drop-off at corner of Walker Street and Orange Avenue from Jan. 3 to 6

* Irvine from now until Jan. 7, with drop-off at 16182 W. Construction Circle this Saturday and Jan. 7

* Lake Forest already, with drop-off at Laguna Niguel Park on Jan. 7 and 8

* Los Alamitos on Wednesday and Jan. 4 with drop-off at 10608 Los Alamitos Blvd. on Jan. 14. * Mission Viejo from now until Jan. 11 at Home Depot store, 27952 Hillcrest, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily, until 9 p.m weekdays
