Rite Aid Corp. to Buy Perry Drug Stores Inc.: The nation’s biggest drugstore chain said it agreed to acquire Perry for $11 a share, or about $132 million. The acquisition gives Rite Aid entry to the Midwestern retail drug market. Pontiac, Mich.-based Perry is the largest drugstore chain in that state. Camp Hill, Pa.-based Rite Aid operates 2,600 drugstores in 23 eastern states and the District of Columbia.
