Rhino-Ammo Maker Stands by His Claims
The inventor of the Rhino-Ammo fragmenting bullets is standing by his ammunition after an independent test commissioned by ABC’s “Nightline” suggested the rounds don’t do what he claimed.
Chemist David A. Keen said he would go ahead with plans to make and market the ammunition.
“I trust Rhino-Ammo with my life,” he said in Friday’s Huntsville Times. “That’s why I carry it.”
Keen commented following a “Nightline” broadcast, in which the bullet was put through its first public demonstration.
Keen told the newspaper that ABC did not use the finished product.
Keen has claimed that the bullet will produce catastrophic wounds and instantaneous death. The bullets are made of metal-encased plastic containing lead pellets.
