GARDEN GROVE : Fund-Raiser for Drill Team Postponed

A pancake breakfast intended to raise money for a local dance drill team set to compete in a tournament in Hawaii has been postponed because of the continuing bad weather.

The fund-raiser, scheduled for today, will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Jan. 21 at Garden Grove Park on Westminster Boulevard, according to the group’s publicity coordinator, Cindy Hale. Baked goods and sports memorabilia will be sold, she said.

The team, called the Guardettes, is participating in the Hawaii Invitational in April. The team is made up of girls ages 6 to 18 from Garden Grove, Orange, Westminster and Santa Ana.
