Krause’s Appoints President; Optometry Board Gets New Member

Michael Gibbons has been appointed president and chief executive of Krause’s Furniture Inc. in Brea. He succeeds Thomas DeLitto, who becomes vice chairman. Gibbons was also promoted to chairman and chief executive of Krause’s Sofa Factory, the company’s major operating division, where he had been president. In addition, Stephen Anderson has joined the company as president and chief operating officer of the division. Anderson was formerly president and general manager of Stanley Door Systems.

* Arnold Miller has joined the board of trustees of the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton. He is president of Technology Strategy Group, a consulting firm. Before that, Miller was a corporate vice president of Xerox Corp.

* Ross D. Anthony has been named first vice president and chief administrative officer for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Mission Viejo. Anthony had been vice president of human resources for Coldwell Banker Corp. since 1989. Robert D. Deutsch has been named to the newly created position of vice president of international franchise development for Coldwell Banker Residential Affiliates. Deutsch, with 17 years of franchise development experience, will oversee global expansion of the company’s franchise operation.

* Jane M. Torikai has been appointed vice president for the Costa Mesa office of Johnson & Higgins, an insurance broker. Torikai, who has been with the company for more than eight years, is a unit leader and broker. She was previously a senior underwriter at Continental Insurance.
