Roland Digital Makes Move: Roland Digital Group America, a producer of computer-aided equipment for sign-making and engraving, will open its new headquarters at the Irvine Spectrum on Friday.

Since the privately held company moved to 1961 McGaw Ave. in Irvine five years ago from Los Angeles, its annual revenue has tripled, said William Collins, Roland’s marketing manager, though he would not give specific figures. The company employs about 30 people.

Roland sells equipment for computer-aided engraving and sign making. The machines are manufactured in Japan, headquarters of parent company Roland DG Corp.
