Saatchi Files $50-Million Suit Against Ex-Exec: The London-based advertising firm has taken its legal battle with its departed directors to the United States, filing the suit against Bill Muirhead, former head of its U.S. operations, in a New York court, alleging breach of contract. The firm seeks an injunction to prevent Muirhead from working for any competitor until the suit, which was filed Wednesday, is heard. Muirhead defected with ousted Chairman and co-founder Maurice Saatchi when Saatchi set up a rival firm. Muirhead said in a statement: “I have been advised by my lawyers that this is a totally fanciful claim. It contains a number of unsubstantiated and untrue allegations. . . .”
