Auto Production Drops Again: For the first time in 15 years, Japan built fewer cars, trucks and buses than the United States in 1994. The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Assn. said production declined for the fourth consecutive year, to 10,554,119 vehicles, down 6% from 1993. That was 1.8 million vehicles below the U.S. output.
