‘3 Strikes’ Pizza Case

Share

This is in response to “Man Guilty in Potential ‘3 Strikes’ Pizza Case,” Jan. 21. Do the people at the ACLU and perhaps The Times truly realize that the crime problem in the U.S. is out of control? Tough penalties such as “three strikes and you’re out” may be simplistic but should stop crime. Unfortunately, there will be some cases where petty crimes put people in jail for life. But three strikes are a lot.

If people don’t commit crimes, they won’t have problems with “three strikes and you’re out.” That is the bottom line.
