Tyson Foods Fires Saatchi & Saatchi: The Springdale, Ark.-based company said its management felt it was time for a change and needed another advertising agency to help take its marketing and advertising program “to the next level.” Tyson’s relationship with Saatchi spanned more than seven years and saw the poultry company’s business expand dramatically. Tyson spends about $30 million a year on placing advertising. Jack Dunn, Tyson’s vice president for retail sales and marketing, said the company’s decision to fire Saatchi was unrelated to the top-level executive problems at the London-based parent company.
