Ford’s Salaried Employees to Get Benefits Bonus: Ford Motor Co. said its 53,000 salaried U.S. employees will receive a $600 bonus this year on top of the $4,000 average profit-sharing checks going to all of Ford’s domestic staff. Under the new benefits program, employees can take the $600 “flexdollar” bonus as cash, invest it in savings plans, use it to reduce their out-of-pocket health care costs or pay for other benefits. The Ford Flex program, which goes into effect June 1 for Ford’s U.S. salaried workers, is designed to tie employees’ benefit costs to the company’s profitability.
