Two Reactors Removed From Scrutiny List

WASHINGTON —
Two nuclear reactors in Texas were removed Friday from a group of power plants requiring special scrutiny by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Two reactors in Illinois and one in New York remained on the NRC’s close-watch list.
The NRC said problems have been corrected at both reactors at the South Texas nuclear power plant. They had been on the watch list since June, 1993.
