Murphy Organization’s Ex-Chief Lands New Job
Bob Murphy, former president of the Murphy Organization, Ventura County’s largest advertising and public relations agency until it went out of business last September, has landed a new job.
He’s opened a sales office in Oxnard’s Financial Plaza for Haagen Printing, a Santa Barbara printing firm.
“I wanted to try something different,” said Murphy, 55. “I love graphics and printing, and I think I’ll enjoy the selling.”
Several former Murphy Organization staffers, including Murphy’s wife, Madeline, joined an Agoura Hills agency, Mustang Marketing & Advertising, shortly after their own firm closed its doors.
Murphy said he didn’t start looking for a job until recently because he was busy winding up his former company’s affairs.
