A Show of Blooms at Crystal Court

Share

A 27-foot-high floral display topped by a cockatoo created using 1,000 orchids will form the centerpiece for the “Fascination of Orchids” flower show this weekend at Crystal Court, 3333 Bear St., Costa Mesa.

The floral centerpiece is the work of designer Donald Davidson, who has created floats for the Rose Parade for three decades. Titled “Bird of Paradise,” the cockatoo-topped display includes rare cycads, lush ferns and other tropical plants.

Presented by the Orange County Cymbidium Society and Crystal Court, the annual orchid show features a variety of other floral displays, demonstrations and individual orchid exhibits. Orchids and related items will be offered for sale at the show, which will be on three levels of the shopping center.
