Even though Port Hueneme’s voters elected a new majority council that wants the RV park project killed, it’s still with us. Why?
Because Councilman Orvene Carpenter, City Manager Dick Velthoen and Redevelopment Manager Tom Figg are pulling every political and legal shenanigan to keep it alive. Meanwhile, we taxpayers just keep on paying.
The only way to stop this nonsense is to have Councilman Carpenter and his city staff cronies take a tip from RVers: Hit the road.
