Boston Chicken, a fast-growing chain of rotisserie chicken restaurants, will open its first San Gabriel Valley outlet in Duarte on March 20.
The fast-food restaurant will be located at the Mountain Vista Plaza Community Shopping Center. Since opening its first chicken eatery in 1985 in Massachusetts, Boston Chicken has grown to 560 restaurants in 29 states, including 21 in Southern California.

A transitional housing center in Pasadena has received a $1.15-million grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The Pacific Housing Alliance plans to use the money to pay for social services, building renovations and operating costs at its 61-bed Euclid Villa facility.
