Defense lawyer Colin Ferguson wrapped up his case Wednesday in the Long Island Rail Road massacre trial without calling his star witness: defendant Colin Ferguson.

But he did deliver a 20-minute monologue about how he is the victim of a murder conspiracy linked to the prison slaying of serial killer Jeffrey L. Dahmer.

Acting as his own lawyer despite advice to enter a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity, Ferguson also claimed he had been forced to appear on CNN’s “Larry King Live” Tuesday night.

He is to deliver his closing statement today in a trial that has grown more bizarre each day.

Ferguson is accused of killing six people and wounding 19 on a packed commuter train on Dec. 7, 1993. A dozen of the victims have testified that he was the gunman.

He has claimed that the shootings were committed by an unidentified white man who stole his gun. This week, he theorized that the killer was a black man who looks like him and shares his name.
