Obituaries : Adele Esther Spellisey Engel Ferguson; Librarian
Adele Esther Spellisey Engel Ferguson, a longtime municipal librarian, has died following a long illness. She was 81.
Ferguson, who died Saturday at a Ventura convalescent hospital, was a 20-year librarian for the city of Redondo Beach and was active in the American Assn. of University Women and Friends of the Redondo Beach Library.
She is survived by a son, Charles Engel of Ventura; a daughter, Kathy Davis of West Hills; a sister, Murial Spellisey of Ventura, and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura. Arrangements are being handled by Charles Carroll Funeral Home in Ventura.
