Saudis, Yemenis Agree to Demarcate Border

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia —
In an effort to end a decades-old border dispute between the two largest countries on the Arabian Peninsula, Saudi Arabia and Yemen announced Sunday that a joint committee would demarcate their largely undefined 1,300-mile boundary.
The agreement was signed in Mecca in the presence of Saudi Defense Minister Prince Sultan ibn Abdulaziz and Yemen’s powerful Parliament Speaker, Abdullah Husayn al Ahmar.
