Drunk Driving

So they finally come up with a great idea for people who continue to drive without a license: Take the car away. I have to agree that it will be a good law, but I also believe it is only the tip of the iceberg. I believe we should take a bigger chunk off the iceberg by assigning the same law to drunk drivers. I feel much safer driving where people drive without a license (and probably drive better than most people who have licenses) than to trust those who drive when they are drunk.

As a bail bondsman in El Monte for 31 years, I cannot help noticing the decline in spousal abuse since they raised the bail from $15,000 to $50,000, therefore keeping most of them from getting an immediate release from jail. I believe in raising the bail to $50,000 for drunk driving, as opposed to $5,000 or $10,000. Somehow a $5,000 or $10,000 bond on someone who drives while intoxicated, enhancing the chances of killing or maiming people for the rest of their lives, just doesn’t make sense.

I also have a dynamite plan to put narcotic manufacturers out of business. However, I’m not stupid. If I disclose this idea and they make it a law I’ll never be able to bail them out (not ever).
