Ceradyne Inc.: The Costa Mesa technical ceramics manufacturer posted a loss of $1.8 million, or 29 cents a share, for 1994. That compared to a loss of $2.6 million, or 42 cents a share, for the previous year. Annual sales were up 13% to $18 million from $16 million. The company’s loss for the fourth quarter was $587,000, or 9 cents a share, compared to a loss of $683,000, or 11 cents a share, for the comparable period of 1993. Three-month sales increased to $4.9 million from $3.9 million.
