Donna Cameron, 71, acrobatic dancer and actress known for her one-woman show “Cut on the Bias.” Born in Vancouver, Canada, Miss Cameron dreamed of Hollywood and studied as an acrobat. She performed several seasons with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and danced at clubs in New York before she moved to Los Angeles to work for Columbia. In 1961 she toured the Far East and Europe in a “Broadway USA” revue, and the next year, she acted in “A Thurber Carnival” on the London stage. In the late 1980s Miss Cameron wrote and presented a one-woman show profiling 10 characters such as a kept woman, an acrobat and an abused hillbilly wife. A Times reviewer called her show “fetching” and “sweet” and said she “unspools a ripe collection of neurotic, lonely, funny, scared women tilted on life’s cutting edge.” He compared her writing to that of Mark Twain. On Feb. 25 in Los Angeles of cancer.
