Remains of an ancient city from the Sassanian era, which stretched from the 3rd to the 7th Century, have been unearthed in southern Iran, the newspaper Abrar reported Monday.

A Zoroastrian fire temple, a glassblowing workshop, a temple to the god Mithras and a fort are among buildings so far unearthed by excavators about 45 miles from the port city of Bushehr on the Persian Gulf, it said.
