DAR Kicks Off State Meeting
Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution will gather in Long Beach this weekend for the organization’s annual state convention.
David Smith, the national president of the Children of the Revolution, which promotes American history and patriotism, will speak at the opening meeting tonight. Long Beach resident Elizabeth Herr, a state regent for the organization, will also speak.
Tonight’s meeting, which begins at 7 at the Long Beach Hilton, 2 World Trade Center, is open to the public. Admission is free.
