GOLF ROUNDUP : Roberts Leads at Wet Orlando

Loren Roberts moved to the top of the leader board, two shots ahead of Davis Love III, before thunderstorms forced an overnight suspension of play Friday in the second round of the Nestle Invitational in Orlando, Fla.

Sixty-eight players in the 127-man field were stranded on the rain-soaked Bay Hill Club by the afternoon storm that threw the tournament schedule into disarray.

Roberts, who last season made this tournament the first victory of his 12-year career, scored nine birdies in a round of 65 that lifted him to the top of the standings at 133, 11 under par.

Defending champion Laura Davies shot a five-under-par 68 for a one-stroke lead over Beth Daniel after the second round of the LPGA’s Standard Register-Ping tournament at Phoenix.
