A diabetic man whose good foot was mistakenly amputated reached an undisclosed financial settlement with the hospital. The settlement between University Community Hospital in Tampa and Willie King will enable the 51-year-old man "to have the proper medical care both now and for the remainder of his life," said attorney Peter Brudny. King settled with the surgeon for $250,000. His diseased foot could not be saved and was removed in another hospital.
