Pay Raise Is Not Reflected in Check

I would like to share some wonderful news with you. After a 4% pay raise, we now make $157 per check less take-home pay. Yes, we make a fair living, and we work very hard, but I challenge anybody to justify to me and my wife this absurdity.

My wife and I are good people. We donate (or used to before this) to charities, and we are active in causes we feel are important. We are not prejudiced. We do not hurt, rob or steal. We even recycle.

If anybody thinks I am alone, think again. I took time out of my busy day to write this, so just think how many people feel the same way but haven’t had time to write.
