Italian Industrial Giants to Buy Lotus: The Bonomi and Benetton families, among Italy’s richest business dynasties, have signed an agreement to purchase the British sports car maker from Bugatti International of Luxembourg for about $57.3 million. Bugatti, a troubled manufacturer of supercars, acquired Group Lotus from General Motors just 18 months ago.
