Forum on How to Spot Scams to Be Offered
CYPRESS —
A free forum on how to spot and stop scams, including telemarketing fraud, will be presented at 7 p.m. Friday at the Cypress Senior Citizens Center, 9031 Grindlay St.
“The forum will cover some of the most common scams pulled against older adults and the strategies to fight back,” said a spokeswoman for the Cypress Recreation and Park District. “Con artists will be profiled, along with the most common pitches.”
The information at the forum will be provided by the national Stop Fraud Assn.
