Buyers, Sellers Can Get Tax Details at Fair

Taxes are one of the most important aspects, and one of the biggest advantages, of homeownership. They are also one of the most confusing areas. But help is at hand.

At the upcoming Times’ Home Buyers and Sellers Fair, consumers can get the latest tax information, and answers to their individual questions, from realty experts, accountants, lawyers and the Internal Revenue Service.

The sixth annual fair will be held Saturday, April 22, at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 S. Figueroa St. The fair runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Besides a full day of panel discussions and workshops on buying, selling and mortgage financing, more than 50 exhibitors--including lenders, realtors, home builders and state and federal housing agencies--will be on hand to answer your questions on any aspect of real estate.

Fair-goers will also be able to get a free credit check--the critical first step in getting a mortgage--and to get pre-qualified for a home loan by lenders at the fair.
