GM, UAW Talks Continue: In Michigan, negotiations continued between General Motors and United Auto workers Local 594, which represents about 5,500 workers who walked out Friday at the Pontiac East truck assembly plant. The union wants GM to create jobs at the plant for 1,500 workers who were let go when another Pontiac plant was closed in December. The strike knocks out about a third of GM’s production of full-size pickup trucks.
