PacifiCare Gets ValuCare’s 67,000 Members

PacifiCare Health Systems, a managed health care services company in Cypress, said Monday that its PacifiCare of California subsidiary has acquired the membership of ValuCare, a Fresno health-maintenance organization with more than 67,000 members. The acquisition makes PacifiCare one of Central California’s largest HMOs with 70,000 members. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
