American Health Service Cuts Loss

American Health Service Corp., a Newport Beach developer and operator of diagnostic imaging and radiosurgery treatment centers, reported a net loss last year of $1.1 million, or 12 cents a share, compared to a net loss of $2.5 million, or 25 cents a share, for the previous year.

Revenue dropped to $36 million last year from $37.5 million. The company attributed the revenue decline in part to the sale or closure of three centers and the expiration of six operating agreements.

For the fourth quarter, the company recorded a net loss of $665,000, or 7 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $949,000, or 10 cents a share in the final quarter a year earlier. Annual revenue fell to $8.4 million from $9.3 million.
