Standard Pacific Corp.: The Costa Mesa home builder reported that profit for the first quarter more than doubled to $1.1 million, or 4 cents a share, from $519,000, or 2 cents a share, from last year’s first quarter. Revenue for the first three months was down 1% to $78 million this year from $78.9 million.
