ECHO PARK : Politicians to Read at Library Fund-Raiser
Los Angeles City Council members Mike Hernandez and Jackie Goldberg, state Sen. Richard G. Polanco (D-Los Angeles) and U.S. Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-Los Angeles ) will attend a fund-raising book sale for the Echo Park Library and read from books that influenced their lives.
Proceeds will go toward opening festivities for the new Echo Park Library next spring. Books will be sold Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The readings start at 10:30 a.m. at the library, 515 N. Laveta Terrace.
