Change in Programming at KUSC

Share

I am writing in regard to the article about the change of programming at radio station KUSC/91.5 FM (South, March 26).

I find it to be quite disturbing. I know that we have at least one full-time jazz station, as well as three or four Latin stations here in the greater Los Angeles area. If we were limited in the number of stations here I could understand the need for broadening the format at KUSC but that isn’t the case. It disturbs me greatly the way KUSC has been converted (from a traditional classical music station).

I am well aware of the great quality of classical Latin music and enjoy it very much, but the other Latin and ethnic programs just muddy up the works.

I would like to see the format return to its original status.

As one of the other stations puts it: more music and less idle chatter.
