Share

A development plan created by a property owners association and the Community Redevelopment Agency for the South Park neighborhood next to the Los Angeles Convention Center will be presented at a meeting Thursday.

Development ideas include parks and plazas, a magnet public school, a public art program and preservation of historic buildings. Michelle Heilpern, a spokeswoman for the South Park Stakeholders Group, said the association wants to draw attention to the area.

“What they are trying to do is get developers interested in coming into the area and individual businesses that want to move or relocate,” Heilpern said.
