5-County Alabama Region Declared Disaster Area

WASHINGTON —
President Clinton has declared a five-county area of Alabama a major disaster area, making it eligible for federal aid to help recovery from February storms, tornadoes and floods.
The declaration makes federal recovery assistance available to people and local governments affected by the storms in Cullman, DeKalb, Marion, Marshall and Winston counties.
